This is a hidden little spot off of a certain highway in the middle of two small towns. Some of the teenagers around here come during the day in the summer to play in the water and see each other in bathing suits. Some also come at night and leave beer bottles, apparently.

Seriously, it’s a gorgeous place that shouldn’t be sullied by beer bottles, etc.

I think there’s an NPO like “Friends of Hurricane Creek” or something. Maybe they clean it up reguarly. I didn’t notice it last summer when I discovered the place (chasing down something). There were just a bunch of kids who looked at me in my work truck like maybe they should run

You just haven’t seen it on a busy day. The section on 216 actually takes a lot of abuse from locals. Here’s the info on this year’s creek clean-up:
