Rebuilding

Filed under: Technical issues - 21 Mar 2008

It seems that I used to have a lot more regular commenters. I used to also get some random people in. I guess irregular posting for a few months can really take a toll on readership. I’m going to be going in and out of regular posting until June, by the way.

Oddly enough, traffic has actually been pretty steady except that a larger percentage come from random Google searches now.

For the regulars who’ve stuck through it all and are still leaving comments — I love you too.

Huntsville

Filed under: Technical issues - 21 Mar 2008

I’m traveling to Huntsville today because I apparently have to sign a lease in person. Be back later. Feel free to leave comments about how I’m a nitwit who will do everything he can to make Troy King look bad. (psst… I don’t have to try).

Utility tax law

Filed under: Daily Dixie - 21 Mar 2008

I think I’m a pretty smart guy. I’m good at math. I even do my own taxes — with capital gains, education tax credits and all.

But I’ll be honest. There isn’t much in this article that makes any sense to me. If you’re good at this kinda of thing, please explain Barney-style in comments.

Parker Griffith to run

Filed under: Daily Dixie - 21 Mar 2008

Griffith is expected to announce his candidacy for Congress this morning. I’ll probably be in Huntsville so I won’t likely give a “breaking new” or anything.

The commenters on al.com are already going after him. I don’t know much about Griffith except that he’s the sponsor of the Gourmet Beer Bill in the Senate. I like him.

Jon Stewart on Bob Riley

Filed under: Daily Dixie - 21 Mar 2008

An odd segment on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I never knew that about the governor.

Aside: Sometimes it’s really hard to figure out what category to put a post in.
